Keesus Koncert - August 9

Jamie & Katie Burns (538-0693) will host this year's LKAA Keesus Koncert on Saturday, August 9, at 7 p.m. in Burns /Bucher /Engelking /Tranchita Cove at the southern end of North Bay .  This year's band is Sawdust Symphony - an "American New Grass" string band, blending traditional bluegrass style with high energy contemporary musical forms.  The Milwaukee area group combines the members' varying playing experience in bluegrass, old time, rhythm and blues,  jazz and rock-a-billy, to bring out its own style. The vocal harmonies of  Al, Greg and Mike, accompanied by decades of playing mandolin, guitar, banjo and bass, make for great listening and entertainment.

LKAA is “changing it up” this year for the Keesus Koncert.  There will be no “passing the bucket” this year to pay for the band as we did in previous years.  Rather LKAA is paying for the band, not your beverages – so BYOB!  However, you are still encouraged to bring $20 (or more) to participate in a Wine Pull fundraiser for LKAA.  For those not familiar with a “Wine Pull”, everyone is a winner!  There will be 50 various bottles of wine.  All have a minimum value of $10/bottle.  There will also be $20 - $50 bottles!  For $20, you will pull a wine cork from the bowl.  Each wine cork has a unique number (1 – 50).  Your cork # is randomly assigned to a bottle of wine.  You take the bottle that corresponds with your cork #.

Since this is a fundraiser, we are also looking to LKAA members to donate a good bottle of wine - must be $10 value (or more).  If you are interested in helping the cause, please contact Katie and Jamie Burns at jklakeloons@yahoo.com   or call 538-0693
