The LKAA Free Family Picnic is coming June 12th. Jean Schlidt on Woodrest Drive is hosting the event. Hot Dogs, Bar-B-Q, beans, chips, fruit, salads, soda, beer, and water will be waiting for you starting at 6 p.m. with a short business meeting to discuss up-coming summer events following at about 7:15 p.m. Don't miss this chance to make new friends or connect with friends you haven't seen since last summer. Donations of desserts to share are always welcome!
Cabella's Recreation will sponsor a free Kids Fishing Klinic on Lake Keesus on Thursday, June 18th from 1 t0 4 p.m. weather permitting. There will be on-shore instruction and then fishing from pontoon boats. Fishing gear will be provided by Cabellas. ALL kids 12 or under must wear life jackets which will NOT be provided. Kids age 5 and under MUST be accompanied by a parent. Attendees MUST register in advance by calling Linda Timbers at 538-1482 or emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org with the names, ages, and phone numbers of the people attending - adults are welcome too! The meeting place is W281 N8065 Marshall Drive (off Keesus Road). Several pontoon boats are needed which are capable of handling a bunch of neophyte hook users. Adult volunteers to supervise the activity should also call Linda to volunteer. We need your help to make this kids event succeed.
Mary Poehls (442-9649 or email@example.com ) is sponsoring a Paint and Wine Event on Saturday, June 20th. Local artist, Jamie Peschke, will walk the "newbie Rembrandts" through the painting process starting at 6:30 p.m. on the roof of the John & Patty Mueller home on Park Drive. The cost of the canvas and painting supplies is $30 whether working alone or with a partner. Participants are asked to bring their own liquid refreshments. Contact Mary by June 18th to secure a place at this event.

Join your Keesus friends and neighbors at the July 4th LKAA Parade and Picnic starting at the Engelkings Garage at the top of the hill on Park Drive at 10:30 a.m. March with the kids the 1/2 mile to Steve & Ann Belter's home at the end of Flynn Road where food and beverages will be served starting at 11 a.m. Youth participants will receive a parade ribbon and flag and some surprise gifts. All LKAA members and their relatives and guests are invited to the festivities. Let's all celebrate the 4th together starting with the LKAA Parade/Picnic at 10:30 a.m. See you there!!!
Terry Reinders has announced the date of the LKAA Summer Fireworks show. Camp Whitcomb/Mason will be the site of the action on Saturday, July 11th with a 9:27 start time.
The Keesus Koncert featuring "Andrea and the Mods" should start at about 7:00 p.m. in the Tranchita-Engelking-Burns-Bucher Cove at the southern end of North Bay. Bring your boat or walk on down!
